　シリアルアントレプレナーとは，連続起業家と訳されていますが，マスコミをにぎわすような大きな事業を繰り返すことだけではないと思っています．それなりの事業であっても，また一からスタートするというマインドを醸成できるかどうかは大変重要です．人間の習性として一度成功をおさめると，それから抜け出せなくひとが大半です．また挑戦したとしても成功するかどうかはわからない，それであれば同じ場所に立ち止まっていたほうが自分の経歴に傷がつかないと考えているのでしょう．
　実は，これは中途半端に新規事業の立ち上げに参画したケースに良く見られます．どんな小さな事業であっても利益が出るまでは非常に大変です．その突破口を誰が開いたかということです．その突破口を開いた人物こそがシリアルアントレプレナーの資格があります．そのリーダーについていっただけの人は，突破口を開いた際の感激がとても薄く，苦しかったことだけが残り，再度挑戦したいとは思わないでしょう．

　Once a business, even a niche business, is launched quite as expected, it is tempting to take on the next challenge. When you reach this stage, your people are promoting the business that has been launched or is about to be launched. If so, you are on the threshold of becoming a serial entrepreneur.

　The term serial entrepreneur is translated as "serial entrepreneur," but I believe that it is not just about repeatedly creating large businesses that make the headlines in the mass media. It is very important to be able to cultivate the mindset of starting from scratch again, even if the business is a good one. It is human nature that once a person has achieved success, he or she is usually unable to get out of it. They may think that even if they try again, they are not sure whether they will succeed or not, and if that is the case, it is better to stay in the same place so that their career will not be damaged.
　In fact, this is often the case when a person participates in the start-up of a new business halfway through. It is very difficult for any small business to become profitable. The question is who made the breakthrough. The person who made that breakthrough qualifies as a serial entrepreneur. Those who simply follow the leader will feel little excitement when they make a breakthrough, and will be left with only the pain of the experience, and will not want to try again.
